Shattered Visions (2024) is a sculptural work developed through experiments with photographic image transfer and concrete casting. It brings together hand-cast concrete shards, photographic transfers and a constructed plinth to form a fragmented architectural surface.

The imagery, drawn from photographs taken during my Paolozzi Award research trip to Berlin, documents architectural detail and surface. Through the transfer process, these images fracture, distort and partially disappear, becoming part of the material language of the work.

Dust, sand and aggregate are left visible around the plinth, emphasising process, collapse and material decay. The work marked a shift towards embedding photography within material, treating the image as something physical, fragile and shaped by its surroundings.
